We all know that Teachers play a very important role in students life. It is to a great extent, the teachers, who shape a student’s life. The B.Ed course will teach a person about teaching and the various aspects associated with teaching. If anybody has got the passion for teaching and aspires to take teaching as profession, the B. Ed degree is considered compulsory.

    The University of North Bengal has established a B. Ed. Cell that would work centrally to monitor admission processes to B. Ed. courses and B. P. Ed. courses being taught at different colleges affiliated under this University. The Centralized B. Ed. Cell shall start functioning from this academic session 2011-12.

    The major objective of this Cell is to strengthen the link between the University administration and the concerned colleges through Comm

on Admission Form, Brochure, Publication of Common Merit List, centralized counselling etc. The stusion to this course shall now apply in a single application form stating preference of colleges so as to avoid the hassle and uncertainty in getting admission.

    The success of this B. Ed. Cell would however be possible provided the students and guardians find this new procedure as friendly and transparent.

    I extend my warm wishes for the students who, will be admitted through this new procedure of admission to B. Ed. and B. P. Ed. courses and become a worthy teacher for generation.
